HOPE	The HOPE Scholarship is for freshmen only and can not be renewed. Students can gain eligibility for the LIFE Scholarship by meeting the LIFE Scholarship renewal criteria.

*"Any college" means any accredited college, whether in SC or out, and Bob Jones University and South University.

	Additional Renewal Information
	Full-time enrollment is required each semester. All scholarship recipients can utilize the Summer terms to keep eligibility. Excluding the HOPE Scholarship, all scholarships are for four years or until graduation, which ever comes first. The LIFE Scholarship is the only scholarship for which a student can gain or regain eligibility. To do so, a student needs to meet the renewal criteria and the general requirements, such as being a SC Resident.
	Useful Scholarship Information
	Students can find their LIFE GPA on the LIFE Scholarship Page in CougarTrail. Students are encouraged to use the College's GPA Calculators to determine what grades are needed to retain or gain their scholarships. State Scholarships (LIFE, Palmetto Fellows) are appealed through the S.C. Commission on Higher Education. Information can be found on their appeal website. Presidential Scholarships are appealed using the Presidential Scholarship Appeal Form. For additional scholarship questions contact the OFAVA at Scholarships@cofc.edu.
