	Scholarship Renewal
	As decisions about summer and fall semesters approach, remember the renewal criteria for College of Charleston and/or State Scholarships. • To find renewal criteria for Presidential and CofC Academic Scholarships go to www.cofc.edu/finaid/aid/schol/institutional.php. • To find renewal criteria for your LIFE Scholarship go to www.cofc.edu/finaid/aid/schol/state/life.php. • To find renewal criteria for your Palmetto Fellows Scholarship go to www.cofc.edu/finaid/aid/schol/state/palf.php. • For the HOPE Scholarship go to www.cofc.edu/finaid/aid/schol/state/life.php to see what criteria is needed to move to the LIFE Scholarship. • Scholarships awarded by your department may be renewable; students should check with the department for details. 	Summer School Financial Aid
	Students wishing to receive financial aid during the summer semesters (from Maymester to Summer II) need to complete our summer school application. Students should complete the application and return it to the OFAVA. Students should be enrolled in the minimum number of summer hours (6 for undergraduates, 3 for graduates) when submitting the application. Due to processing time, applications must be submitted prior to June 6th. Additional information can be found in the summer school page.

	Email Notification
	It is extremely important that you maintain your College of Charleston email accounts. It is your responsibility as a student to check your e-mail accounts frequently to retrieve official communication and to ensure mailbox space is available to receive these notifications. Emails are sent pertaining to students about "missing or incomplete financial documents," and "information concerning financial aid award packages." In the email, you will be instructed to log into CougarTrail to review your current financial aid status. In some circumstances, there may be additional information needed to complete the financial aid file. If you are an entering student, we recommend you review the Office of Admission's Technology for Entering Students page for additional information pertaining to email and technology initiatives at CofC.
