As part of the final capstone course, TRAN 432 Global Logistics Systems Management, seniors are given the opportunity to travel to The Netherlands during Spring Break.  This ten day trip is based in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe and provides an exceptional international experience which greatly enhances  the value of our program.  During the week, students are the guests of industry and government facilities which this year included the Port Authority of Rotterdam, Maersk Sealand, Rail Service Center, the AJT Stackenburg Shipping & Transport College, Heineken Distribution Center, and KLM Air Cargo operations.  During the free time, students are able to visit other cities in the Netherlands as well as weekend travel to nearby cities in Belgium.  The trip, partially funded by the program, is a very special way to conclude  the two years of logistics and transportation study. A topic of special interest is selected by each student during the trip for a final research project at the end of the semester.
