Fall 2007

EDFS 796 Teaching Mathematics to Students with Disabilities
The course is designed for practicing teachers (general, remedial, or special education) who provide or support mathematics instruction to students with learning disabilities (K to 12). The course will focus on national mathematics curriculum standards, research-based instruction, hihg-stakes assessment, informal assessment methods, and problem solving with an emphasis on the effects of learning disabilities on mathematics achievement. Prerequisites: EDFS 710 or equivalent.
