Faculty & Staff -- Getting Started with CougarTrail
Cougar Trail is the name given to the College’s web services for an individual to
access his/her faculty information, employee information, and student information using any web browser.

Cougar Trail Web For Faculty
Allows a faculty member to view and print their class lists, faculty schedule, final grading sheets,
and individual student’s records (On-Course Degree Audit, Transcript, Schedule, Transfer Credit).
All midterm and final grades must be entered through Cougar Trail Web for Faculty. The following

Cougar Trail Web For Employees
Allows a faculty or staff member to view and update personal Information, view direct deposit information,
federal withholdings, pay stub, earnings totals and leave balances. Some of the features available
to faculty and staff in the employee area are:

Login
To login for the first time, use your social security number for the Employee ID or Faculty ID. Use 6-digit birth
date — MMDDYY — as the initial PIN. Upon logging in, you will be given your CofC ID number. In the future, use this number in lieu of your Social Security Number to log on to CougarTrail. Additionally, the PIN must immediately be changed to a new 6-digit PIN.
Once the PIN is changed in Web for Faculty, it is changed in Web for Employees. After three
unsuccessful login attempts, the system will lock you out. It will allow you a total of 3
more login attempts after an hour has elapsed. If the PIN is lost or forgotten, send
an e-mail to CTHelp-Fac@cofc.edu or
CTHelp-Emp@cofc.edu from a valid College of Charleston e-mail address to have it reset.

Monday –Thursday: 8 a.m.-11:45 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-Midnight
Saturday: Available All Day
Sunday: Midnight -11:45 p.m.
