Faculty & Staff -- Accessing Your Office PC
Your Cougars account permits you to access your office PC. From here, you are able to access e-mail, calendaring, and your network storage.
To log on to your PC, follow these steps:
- When your PC first boots up, you should see a screen similar to the figure below:

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete.
- You should then see a screen similar to this figure:

Type your username as given to you in Technology Orientation or by Helpdesk. Then, type the password you have set; if you have not set your password yet, use the password given to you at orientation.
- If this is your first time logging in, you may be prompted to change your password. If you are prompted, you are required to change this password. The password must be a minimum of 8 characters; we recommend mixing in letters, numbers, and symbols to improve its strength.
- You should then see a sequence of screens such as "Loading your personal settings...", "Applying your personal settings..." and eventually your desktop. If this does not happen, contact Helpdesk.
From here, you will be able to access your e-mail, calendar, and network storage.
