Students -- Getting Started with CougarTrail
Cougar Trail is the name given to the College’s web services for an individual to access his/her student information using any web browser. Students use CougarTrail to register for classes, check grades, pay bills, set their e-mail password, and conduct other College business.
Login
To login for the first time, use your social security number for the Student ID. Use 6-digit birth
date — MMDDYY — as the initial PIN. Upon logging in, you will be given your CofC ID number. In the future, use this number in lieu of your Social Security Number to log on to CougarTrail. Additionally, the PIN must immediately be changed to a new 6-digit PIN. Remember this number! After three
unsuccessful login attempts, the system will lock you out. It will allow you a total of 3
more login attempts after an hour has elapsed. If the PIN is lost or forgotten, send
an e-mail to CTHelp_Stu@cofc.edu from your College of Charleston e-mail account to have it reset.

Monday –Thursday: 8 a.m.-11:45 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-Midnight
Saturday: Available All Day
Sunday: Midnight -11:45 p.m.
