Putting Files onto the Web Server

 

Step 1

Open Dreamweaver
Site > Site Files

Step 2

A. This drop-down displays the name of the site that is being accessed. Click on arrow to select another site.

B. This drop-down displays the Local View or the Remote Remote View. The Local View displays the files that are on your hard drive. The Remote View displays the files that are on the server. "F" will display the files of the view that is selected (Remote or Local).

C. To connect to the server select this icon. Once you have connect your Remote View will appear. You will need to select the black arrow in the Local/Remote drop-down to change the view.

D. Selecting the blue arrow will "put" the files from your Local View onto the server.

E. Selecting the green arrow will "get" the files from the server and place them on the Local side.

F. The files that are being view, Local or Remote, are displayed in this window below.
