WS FTP (FTP for Windows)


 

Step 1: Download WS FTP
WS FTP is used to place all your webpage documents on the server to allow your pages to be viewed via the web.

Begin by downloading WS FTP.

 
 
 

Step 1

Open WS FTP.

Enter the following information in the "Session Properities" window.

Host Name/Address: spinner.cofc.edu
User ID: your login ID
Password: enter your spinner password

Click "OK"

Step 2

The next window will show your Local System (files on your computer) and the Remote System (files on Spinner).

The left side shows your local files and the right side shows the remote files.

To move files back and forth click on the file you want to move, and then click on the arrow pointing in the direction you want the file to move. (Placing files on the remote side is referred to as "putting the files", and placing files onto your computer from the remote side is referred to as "getting the files".)
