Wireless FAQ
Will the CofC wireless network support Apple laptops with Airport cards?
- Currently, we support OSX 10.2 w/ Airport 3.0 and an Airport Card or any Apple with a Cisco card.

Will personal wireless networks interfere with the proposed campus wireless network?
- Yes. In order to ensure compatibility and seamless integration, we must be the central point for planning, design, operation, maintenance and management
of the wireless network.
Will the campus wireless network extend to Grice, North Area, or Patriot’s Point?
- Wireless Coverage is now available at the Tennis Center at Patriots Point, Grice Marine Center, and North Campus. We hope to provide wireless coverage other
remote campus areas in the future.
How will this network impact the wireless network for the Residence Halls (ResNet)?
- The campus wireless network should have no impact on wireless in the residence halls.
Will the wireless card I use to access the campus wireless network with my laptop also work with my PDA?
- Not necessarily. This is dependent upon the model of both your laptop and PDA.
