Security AccessFaculty access into technology based classrooms is controlled through keypad entry locks, swipe card locks or door keys. Keypad LocksKeypads are used on the majority of the technology based classroom doors. Faculty can get the keypad code to the keypad locks by logging into their cougar’s account and selecting the keypad codes link. Faculty should be aware that keypad combinations are confidential and if students are found to have the combination to any of the rooms, the Registrar Office will have the keypad code changed. Swipe Card LocksSwipe cards are required for the classroom doors in the Beatty Center and for the following rooms on the second floor of the Education Center: 212, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, and 218. Faculty that are assigned to these rooms will need to have their department order the swipe cards from the Campus Locksmiths in Physical Plant. In the event, that faculty doesn’t have a key, they can call public safety to let them into the room. Faculty should be caution that public safety can be delayed in responding to unlocking doors.
