Setting up WebCT as a Trusted Site in Internet Explorer

If you are accessing files within WebCT that are NOT .html, Internet Explorer's security settings will attempt to block them until you give permission to allow the download. However, if you set Internet Explorer up to "trust" WebCT then you can download/view these files without the hassle of allowing permission each time.

Note: This is only required for Internet Explorer for Windows.

Windows:

1. In the Internet Explorer menu bar choose Tools > Internet Options
2. Choose the tab entitled Security
3. Click on the icon entitled Trusted Sites
4. Click the Sites button
5. Next to "Add this Web site to the zone" type https://webct.cofc.edu (make sure to add the "s" at the end of http)
6. Click the Add button
7. Once the url appears in the Web sites area you can click OK
8. Click OK again
