Finding Videos/DVDs in the Library CatalogAll videos in the media collection are in the library catalog. You may search just the media collection by limiting your search to “Media Collection.” This is done from the "limit by" button at the bottom of the main catalog screen. We are beginning to re-catalog titles from the old OMT video numbers to Library of Congress call numbers. Thus, many accession numbers listed in the CRMC Media Collection Catalog are no longer accurate. Please be aware of this if you use this older catalog. We are discovering that some video titles currently listed in the online catalog as available are missing. We are in the process of re-ordering such titles, where possible, as we find such missing titles and deleting the record when not possible. Also, a title may be “available” in the catalog, but in a stage of processing and temporarily unavailable. So, it is always a good idea to call ahead to see if a video is actually available at the library, before making a trip or a request. You may call or email Jared Seay directly (843.953.1428 or seayj@cofc.edu) or call the reference desk (843.953.8000) to make such an inquiry. Ordering Videos/DVDs for the Media CollectionVideos to be used for the educational support of your teaching may be ordered from departmental book budgets. Requests may be sent through your departmental liaison. Contact Information for Media ServiceMedia Room Research/Information Desk Circulation Desk Library Media Coordinator Related Links |
