Journals Review Project

The library, like other departments, has had its operating budget cut recently and, as a result, have had to reduce book purchases for 2003-2004.

We do not, however, plan to cancel any journals or other serials during 2003-2004. Unlike most college and university libraries, our library has not had to cancel journal subscriptions for over twenty years. Nevertheless, it seems prudent in these difficult times to develop some additional plans for reviewing our journal and other serial subscriptions in case we need to make additional budget cuts during 2004-2005.

During 2002-2003 the library staff will be working with the faculty to identify journal subscriptions that we may consider discontinuing should the need arise.  Remember, we don’t plan to cut any journals at this time. And if at any time in the future we have to make reductions, these reductions will be equitable across school and departments.
