College of Charleston Opera
The College of Charleston Opera presents a fully staged production and several performances of opera and musical theatre scenes each year. Recent successful productions have included Menotti's The Medium and Mozart's The Impresario (2007), The Marriage of Figaro (2006), Trial by Jury (2005), and Celius Dougherty's Many Moons (2004). Many of these productions have been repeated in Piccolo Spoleto's Young Artists and Theatre Series.
Founded in 1999, the workshop provides performance and training opportunities for singing on the stage. Deanna McBroom is the Artistic and Musical Director with Robert Ivey as stage director and choreographer.
