Robert Lewis
Visiting Assistant Professor, Saxophone, Jazz Studies
Robert Lewis was the 1998 winner of the Downbeat magazine "db" Award for Best Jazz Soloist. After moving to South Carolina, he has become very heavily involved in the area music scene, performing over 200 times a year.
Mr. Lewis is in demand as a solo artist and clinician, and has lately been leading his own group in concerts at colleges and concert venues around the Southern Region. Robert was recently appointed head of the Jazz Program at the College of Charleston, in Charleston,SC.
