Getting Started: How to get your password

I. Getting Your Experimetrix Password

(a) From a computer with an Internet browser, go to http://www.experimetrix.com/cofc

(b) On the left side of the screen, click on new.user. You should now be viewing the “Get A Password” page.

(c) Type in your first, middle, and last name, and student ID number in the boxes provided.

(d) Next, type in your e-mail address twice in order to verify the correct address. Be sure to use the e-mail address that you use most frequently. This should be the e-mail address that you want your appointment reminders sent to.

(e) Click on the “Register” box to send the information to our experiment managing system. You should see the following message…YOU MUST LOGON WITHIN THREE DAYS TO ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT OR IT WILL BE REMOVED. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SIGN UP FOR EXPERIMENTS UNTIL YOU ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT. Congratulations, you have successfully registered to be a user of the experiment scheduling system.

Your Logon and Password will soon be sent to your e-mail address in 24 to 48 hours. Note. If you used your cofc.edu account, be sure to that you do not let your message box get full or you may not receive your password or help from the web master.

II. Other important information:

Once you receive the password and logon via email, return to the website (http://www.experimetrix.com/cofc) within three days to activate your account and to edit your course section. For instructions on how to do this, (1) go to http://www.cofc.edu/psychology/ (2) click on “PSYC 103 Requirement” in the top navigation bar, (3) click on "Students” link, and (4) click on “Activating and Editing Your Account.” If you do not logon within three days of receiving your password to activate your account, it will be dropped from the system and you will need to re-register.
Once your account is activated and your course section is edited, you can schedule appointments. For instructions on how to sign up for experiments,… (1) go to http://www.cofc.edu/psychology/ (2) click on “PSYC 103 Requirement” in the top navigation bar, (3) click on "Students” link, and (4) click on “How to Get You Password.” You can also access other important information (e.g., penalties missing appointments) at this web site.
Take careful note of your logon name and password. If you should lose or forget them, go to http://www.experimetrix.com/cofc and click on “forget.password” icon on the left hand margin and follow the menu of instructions.
