About the Department

Vision
To create a community of intellectual excellence, and foster an evolving understanding of psychological science.

Mission
The department will develop and maintain:
1) a dynamic environment that attracts and promotes diversity of ideas in psychology.
2) a collegial environment where teachers and scholars can

  • realize their teaching, research and service goals.
  • contribute to the development of the field of psychology.
  • enrich the lives of students and the greater community.

3) a rich and intellectually stimulating program of study that promotes understanding and the application of principles of psychological science.
