EXCEPTION TO ALLOW INELIGIBLE STUDENT TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMENCEMENT
Occasionally, due to extenuating circumstances, a student may participate in a ceremony before he/she is eligible to do so. The faculty will allow this by Petition if the student meets certain strict requirements. Students who are eligible according to the requirements listed below may submit a Petition to Participate in the Commencement Ceremony to the Assistant Registrar for Graduation, Degree Audit & Transfer Credit in the Registrar's Office. This form can be obtained in the Registrar's Office or by following the link below.
PLEASE NOTE : Students approved to participate in commencement by petition will not be recognized for Latin honors at the ceremony.

APPROVAL or DISAPPROVAL OF PETITIONS WILL BE SENT EXCLUSIVELY TO YOUR EDISTO EMAIL ACCOUNT AFTER THE LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW IN THE SEMESTER . If you meet all of the requirements above and submit your form in a timely and complete manner, you will be approved.
