HONS 211 Honors Macroeconomics (3)
HONS 212 Honors Microeconomics (3)

Macroeconomics and microeconomics courses introduce the principles of economics and the history of the development of that theory. (Satisfies the general education requirement in the social sciences and the principles of economics requirement for students majoring in economics or business.)

Offerings:

Prerequisites: Calculus is a prerequisite for both courses, and HONS 211 or its equivalent is a prerequisite for HONS 212.

Learning Objectives :
The purpose of this course is to build a foundation for subsequent economics theory courses. Students will be introduced to macro and micro theory and to the economic tools, including optimization techniques, graphs, and equations, used to analyze the concepts learned in HONS 211. This course, with Honors 211, satisfies the general education requirement in social science as well as the economics requirement for students majoring in economics, accounting, and business administration.
