Allen Lyndrup (BA - Wartburg College; MFA - University of Georgia) has been teaching theatre for more than thirty years. Before 1991, when he became chair of the College of Charleston Theatre Department, he taught at University of Virginia and James Madison University. He is a director and scene designer, and since stepping down as chair in 2000, he has worked to develop courses in History of American Musical Theatre, Computer Assisted Drafting, and Theatre Management.
