Student Computing Support

Support Desk

The Student Computing Support Desk is an IT service point at the College of Charleston that offers technical support for students using computer technology. The goal of the support desk is to provide students with access to knowledgeable personnel and information and provide help to students with common, yet sometimes complex computer maintenance tasks and questions, such as spyware/virus removal, general troubleshooting, general troubleshooting, and setup for the CampusWide wireless network (not ResNet). We do not have the capability to do hardware repairs or upgrades. Such services may be available through Campus Technologies or other local vendors listed in the Charleston telephone directory. Students should also check their computer manufacturer’s technical support web site in case there is a procedure for finding warranty-approved vendors.

Where do I go?

The Student Support Desk is located in the computer section of the Addlestone Library.
Students are welcome to bring their laptops to the desk anytime during operating hours, 8:00 AM -- 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.

What's out there?

You can get lots of CofC specific help from our "Student IT Information" section. The "Tutorials" section has help for commonly used programs and tasks. If you need software, check in the "Downloads" section.
