Foreign Languages Tutoring Lab:
Procedures
As a College of Charleston student, you are welcome in our lab. Our tutors are trained to help you in the most professional and efficient manner. Here are the rules we ask both students and tutors to follow:
Please understand that we may not be able to help you as soon as you arrive. Tutors will assist you as soon as possible. If the lab is busy, you may want to return at a later time.
Please do not bring any foods into the lab. Drinks with covers are allowed in the Addlestone Library.
Each time you visit the lab, a progress report is sent to your professor explaining which concepts were covered during the tutoring session. The FLTL maintains an open line of communication with instructors in order to provide the most efficient and effective help to students.
The FLTL is not a translating center. Our tutors do not do homework for you. They must follow strict guidelines set by each professor on what they can and cannot do regarding homework and papers to be turned in for a grade.
Please feel free to use our lab to do your homework. A lot of resources will be available to you such as dictionaries, textbooks, worksheets. Answers to all worksheets can be found in the lab. Feel free to ask a tutor if you need any help.
Please contact the FLTL director, Brigitte Codron, if you have any questions or concerns. You can also leave a message in the CSL office.
