The Governmental Affairs Committee is responsible for ensuring that a clearly defined legislative agenda is designed each year for the advancement of the university. The committee will work with and assist the Senior Vice President for Governmental Affairs and the President in the accomplishment of the university's legislative agenda and be kept informed of all activities by the university involving the South Carolina General Assembly, the Governor's Office, the United States Congress and all other state boards and commissions. The committee will review and propose for approval to the Finance Committee the annual budget for the office of Governmental Affairs.
