The Institutional Advancement
Committee shall review policies and activities of the Institutional Advancement
Offices of the university including the Development, Annual Fund and Alumni
Services Offices.
The duties of the Institutional
Advancement Committee include:
- To serve as the link
for the Board of Trustees to the College of Charleston Foundation Board
and the College of Charleston Alumni Board.
- To review Foundation
and fund raising goals and the programs of the Alumni Services Office
to ensure that they complement the priorities of the university.
- To support and assist
with the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of
leadership philanthropy to ensure the maximization of private investments
for the university's programs and activities.
- To review and support
the goals and programs provided by the Office of Alumni Services that
serve, involve and inform the alumni of the priorities and activities
of the College of Charleston.
- To recommend to the
Board of Trustees the naming for university buildings and facilities.
