"Orientation is a program designed to help new students make a smooth transition to the College. All new students are expected to participate in orientation before classes begin. At orientation, students will meet other incoming students, meet an academic advisor, register for classes, meet faculty from various programs on campus, learn about the campus and the services that are offered for all students."

"The Registrar’s Office completes an official evaluation of transfer credit for students who have been offered admission to College of Charleston. Prior to an offer of admission, resources are available on the Registrar’s Office website ( to assist those considering a transfer to the College of Charleston. Included in these resources is a link to the “Transfer Equivalency Database” (, a listing of previously evaluated courses from other United States institutions, as well as information about the General Education requirements and degree requirements for the various programs of study offered at CofC."
