"Orientation is a program designed to help new students make a smooth transition to the College. All new students are expected to participate in orientation before classes begin. At orientation, students will meet other incoming students, meet an academic advisor, register for classes, meet faculty from various programs on campus, learn about the campus and the services that are offered for all students."

"The Transfer Evaluation Team within the Registrar's Office will complete an official evaluation of transfer credit for students who have been offered admission to the College of Charleston. Prior to an offer of admission, students are encouraged to meet with a Pre-Transfer Advisor to discuss transfer credit and degree completion at the College of Charleston, and review the resources available on the Registrar website  (http://transfer.cofc.edu). Included in these resources is Transferology (http://transfer.cofc.edu/transferology/index.php), a free online tool to predict how courses will transfer, as well as information about the General Education requirements and degree requirements for the various programs of study offered at CofC."
