No member of the College of Charleston faculty or staff may supervise or manage a student employee who is a member of their family.

A family member is defined as an individual who is a child, spouse, parent, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent or grandchild or is a member of the supervisor’s immediate family.

Immediate family is defined as a child residing in the supervisor’s household; a spouse of the supervisor; or an individual claimed by the supervisor or the supervisor’s spouse as a dependent for income tax purposes.
