When completing the SEAF, all student employees must have a job
classification number. This number is determined below based on
the job description and hourly rate of the employee.

Grade Level I $6.55– 7.00
Duties may include routine tasks such as filing, running errands,
disseminating information to on-campus departments, receiving
and assisting visitors, answering and directing calls, data
entry, setting up equipment and cleaning laboratory apparatus.
Grade Level II $7.00– 7.50
Duties may include jobs performed under Grade Level I as well
as balancing books, reviewing reports, setting up and maintaining
databases and equipment. Job may require previous training.
Grade Level III $7.25– 8.00
Duties may include compiling records and reports, performing
upgrades and/or repairs on equipment and acting as peer counselors.
Critical thinking and decision-making skills are strong components
of this grade level and employee must have ability to work with
minimal supervision.
Grade Level IV $7.50 – 8.50
Duties include tutoring, preparation of projects, research and
operation of equipment other than daily office machinery. May
require additional supervision due to the nature of the duties.
Grade Level V $8.00 and up
Duties may include supervision of other student employees, acting
as student manager, helping facilitate lab classes and advance
operation of specific equipment. This grade level may require
specific training and expertise.
