Section Nine: Hiring Student Employees - Non-Work Study,

All students are eligible to work under the auspices of non-work study. The employing department is 100% responsible for the student’s earnings.

When calculating earnings for hourly employees, this number is an estimate. If students earn more than or under the estimated amount, adjustments do not need to be made to the SEAF.

Students working under NWS may be paid hourly, salary or by lump sum.

Clearance for NWS employment cannot be given by telephone due to the time element involved in dealing with such requests. For similar reasons, the Career Center cannot honor requests for “walk-through” clearance of NWS employment. Every effort will be made to process these forms within three working days.
