| My research objectives deal with coastal ecosystems and landscapes,
in particular, coastal and coral reef zonation and morphology. Much
of my research was done in areas around the Baltic Sea, the Caspian and
Aral seas, the Black Sea, the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the
Kuril Islands. My other primary interests include ecology and taxonomy
of reefbuilding scleractinian corals. My research on corals and coral
reefs included the Seychelles, Amirantes, Maldives, Vietnam, Papua New
Guinea, Kermadecs, Bahamas and the Florida Keys. |
