Research Interests : Host-parasite interactions at the ecological, cellular, and molecular levels; Parasitic fauna of fish in the Charleston Harbor estuarine system; Use of parasites as tags to identify fish stocks and movements;  Acanthocephalans of deep-sea hydrothermal vent fish.
