David E. Desplaces

Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship

David E. Desplaces is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the School of Business and Economics. He joined the College of Charleston in the summer of 2007 from the University of Hartford where he founded the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and directed student community-based consulting projects in cooperation with the Connecticut Economic Gardening Group.

    Professional Activities: Currently serving as the Program Chair of the CASE Association after serving as the membership Chair for two years. Recently, he served as the Local Arrangements Chair for the Eastern Academy of Management including coordinating fund raising and registration.
