Profile Dr. Artiles received her BA from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI and then earned her MA and PhD at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. She came to the College of Charleston in 2006 and teaches courses in composition as well as Renaissance poetry and prose. Dr. Artiles specializes in late Medieval and Early Modern Romances, especially Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene. She is interested in literary representations of sixteenth century domesticity and the economy. |
