Advising
Once a student has declared a major in English, he or she will be assigned an advisor from the English Department faculty. The student should see this advisor every semester during the scheduled advising in the majors period. To declare a major in English, students should see an administrative assistant in the main office at 26 Glebe Street.

Writing Lab
The Writing Lab, located on the first floor of Addlestone Library, provides one-to-one assistance for every stage in the writing of essays, term papers, letters, memos, and book reviews. Writing consultants, including English faculty and carefully chosen peer writing consultants, help students with essays, paragraphs, and sentences, as well as review grammatical rules and principles of punctuation.

For more information contact the Writing Lab Director, Bonnie Devet.

Writer's Group
The Writer’s Group is a small-group writing workshop in which five or fewer students work with a Writer’s Group facilitator. It meets once a week for one hour and is designed to help English 101 students who need extra assistance with their writing.

For more information, contact the Writer's Group director, Chris Warnick
