Dr.
Susan Schulten, University of Denver, will lecture on Geography,
History, and American Nationalism, on Monday, November 3 at
5.30pm in ECTR Room 118.
Dr.
Schulten is a graduate of the universities of Pennsylvania and California,
Berkeley. She is currently Associate Professor at the Department
of History, University of Denver. Her text The Geographical Imagination
in America, 1880-1950 was published by Chicago UP in 2001.
This
lecture is cosponsored by the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences,
the Political Science
Club, the Program in the Carolina
Lowcountry and Atlantic World, the Master
of Environmental Studies Program, and the Department
of History.
