Are
you interested in native species and organic gardening? Did you know
that there is an organic, native species garden located right on the
College of Charleston's campus? Last spring, a native species garden
was planted behind the Political Science/Green Building on 114 Wentworth
Street. This project was completed by students, faculty, and community
members, and serves as a model for urban native species and organic
and sustainable gardening.
And
now YOU can get involved! Mark your calenders now to join us on
Saturday, February 19th starting at 9 a.m. for a CofC gardening
day, where we will be out in the Native Species Garden planting
new plants, transplanting old plants, and just getting the garden
ready for a successful spring. ALL ARE WELCOME!
If
you have any questions, please contact Kristan McKinne at 953.7858
or kmckinne@earthlink.net.
Hope to see you there!
