Both versions of lecture #12 are linked.  Now you know everything I do :)

Brandon has very generously scheduled a 2 hour review session on Reading Day, this Thursday, the 24th, from 1-3pm.  He is planning on using the regular meeting room, 239 SCIC, but since we cannot reserve rooms during the exam period, the session may have to be moved.  If you get there and the room is full of strangers, call Brandon at 202-321-4045.  Come armed with your QUESTIONS!!!

Also, don't forget that you can always email me with questions; though I won't be in the office much, I check email frequently from home.

And, don't forget to bring your SI evaluation forms on Wednesday, along with your curiosity about the Far West.

ATTEND SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION SESSIONS FOR EXTRA HELP FROM
YOUR SI LEADER - Brandon Mizroch.  You can reach Brandon at branmiz25@gmail.com (preferred) or bjmizroc@edisto.cofc.edu
I strongly encourage you to attend SI sessions regularly, right from the beginning of the semester.  These are peer-to-peer work sessions that will both sharpen your study skills and deepen your understanding of the material.  Brandon took my class last fall, and did an outstanding job.  He spent a lot of time in SI himself, and learned how to apply his knowledge to complex exam questions.  Brandon will have plenty of examples of the application oriented questions that I use on exams.  He will help you learn how to work through these questions so that YOU TOO can become successful!

STUDY SKILLS SEMINARS at THE CENTER FOR STUDENT LEARNING

I strongly encourage you to attend these seminars.  Many students have told me that they "thought they knew how to study" until they got into my class.  This class requires a great deal of critical, analytical thinking and the application of knowledge to solve problems.  Straight memorization DOES NOT WORK!  My students have often told me that these seminars helped them prepare for this new way of thinking and learning.
