Annual Awards
Outstanding Student I
Presented each year to a graduating senior with the highest overall Grade Point Average and fifteen hours or more in history.
Outstanding Student II
Presented each year to a graduating senior with a overall Grade Point Average of 3.5 (cum laude) combined with service to the history program and organizations.
Departmental Honors
Presented each year to a graduating senior with an earned grade point average in the major of 3.5 showing exceptional work in Independent Study, Research Seminar, Senior Paper, or Bachelor's Essay.
The George and Agnes Heltai Award:
This award is presented annually to a graduating senior whose academic achievement in history merits high distinction. The award is a $500 check and a scholarly book. (funded)
Daughters of the American Revolution The Rebecca Motte Chapter: The William Moultrie Cup presents this engraved cup to a major who has excelled in Advanced American History courses.
American Federation of Women's Clubs History Prize:
The Charleston Chapter presents this award to a female student who has achieved the highest honors in American History 201 and 202.
