Friends of the Library Reaches 300+ MembersSince its creation last summer, the College of Charleston Friends of the Library has achieved great success by reaching more than 330 members as of March 1. Members include CofC faculty and staff, Charlestonians and library enthusiasts from across country. The mission of the Friends is to support and advance the interests of the Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library as the leading intellectual and cultural force in the community. Membership dollars directly enable these efforts by enriching the College of Charleston’s community of students and scholars, and adding depth and reach to the strategic acquisition of rare and essential books.
