faculty activity system
The Office of Accountability, Accreditation, Planning & Assessment (AAPA) is here to assist all constituencies at the College of Charleston who are interested in receiving guidance on any aspect of the Faculty Activity System (FAS).
FAS was licensed from Digital Measures in April 2005. The system is a fully customizable online information management system designed to organize and report on teaching, research and service activities.
Most campuses need to go to their faculty every time they have a report that needs to be prepared on their teaching, research and service activities, such as for accreditation, for their state, for institutional research surveys, for personal review procedures such as promotion and tenure, or for reports for other stakeholders.
FAS gives faculty one convenient place to maintain their activity data, and the data are then able to be used for all of these purposes. In addition, FAS can be linked to faculty websites so that profiles are always up-to-date.
