I prefer that you put your submission directly in the body of an email message, not as an attachment. Plain text, LaTeX, or html created by your word processor is preferred. There is a limit of 150 words for your abstract.

Now you write an abstract wherein you convey the essence of your research to the reader. Please submit via email to preyern@cofc.edu. If absolutely necessary you may send me a disk (either Mac or IBM format). In either case please make it in plain text form so it will be easy for me to put it on the web.

Special text features, such as bold, italic, superscript2, or subscript2, are best added by submitting your abstract in html format or using LaTeX. If necessary, I can add them by hand; please include a very brief descriptive note below your abstract.

Please include a telephone number and an email address with your submission, but not in the abstract proper, so I can contact you if necessary. Put it clearly separated from the abstract, as I have done below.
