GENERAL EDUCATION AND INSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
(AKA: Minimum Degree Requirements)

Regardless of your program of study, in order to graduate with an undergraduate degree you must meet the General Education and Institutional requirements of the College of Charleston.

General Education Requirements can be found here: http://www.cofc.edu/~advising/genreqs.htm

Institutional Requirements include minimums of:

•  122 earned hours (EHRS)*

•  2.000 cumulative GPA

•  2.000 major GPA**

Confer with your advisor or see the Undergraduate Catalog for additional information.

*Beginning with the 2008/09 catalog, 152 EHRS are required for completion of two undergraduate degrees (e.g. BA degree if other degree is a BS and vice versa); see 2008/09 catalog for details on the requirements for completing more than one degree.

**Some programs/majors require a higher minimum GPA—contact the department of your program/major for details and assistance. If you are pursuing a minor you must also have at least a 2.000 GPA in your minor courses.
