  • The college has purchased a subscription for Usablenet's LIFT Text Transcoder. This is a web application that converts a web page into its text-only version on-the-fly by eliminating all page layout that is present in the original page. the main advantage of using the LIFT Text Transcoder is that a "Text mode" link can be added to each page of the website so that visitors to the website can get a text only version of the website by selecting the Lift text link. This link can be added as a temporary solution until modifications can be made to the page to bring it into accessibility compliance.
