College of Charleston
Cougar Skydiving Club
Jumping Clyde

Welcome to the College of Charleston Cougar Skydivers web pages. The club advisor and webmaster is Jeff Wragg. Don't hesitate to contact me.

While we have had 100+ students come out every year and make a tandem skydive, we don't have a sufficiently large nucleus of active skydivers to qualify as an official club any more. I will maintain the web pages in hopes of sometime resurrecting the club officially, or as a means of providing a little information to those interested.

Since our home dropzone (DZ) closed down, the closest dropzones (DZs) are Skydive Walterboro and Skydive Carolina. Walterboro is a smaller DZ, and is about an hour from Charleston. Skydive Carolina is between Columbia and Charlotte, about 2 1/2 hours away, but is a much bigger and more active operation with bigger aircraft. There are DZs all over the country though, in nearly every state. The United States Parachute Association (USPA) has a database of DZs if you want to find something close to home. Be very leary of searching the internet, as there are some internet-based operations with questionable practices.

Skydive Carolina will host a Special College Skydiving Weekend 5-6 April. Get out for it and meet college students from all over. More details here.

To get a little more info about skydiving, just tell me so on this email form or email me directly.
