Re-Enrollment after Being Dropped for Non-Payment

Students who are dropped from the courses in the School of Business and Economics for non-payment of their fees are encouraged to try to re-enroll a soon as possible.  Due to the high demand for our courses, however, we cannot guarantee that students will be able to re-enroll in the same section, or that any seat in any section of the course will be available.  This may delay graduation.  Students dropped for non-payment should follow the instructions of Closed Course Registration Policy and should immediately contact their advisor to discuss the impact on the progression toward graduation if they are not able to re-enroll in the specific course(s).

Closed Course Registration Policy

The majors within the School of Business and Economics are among the largest at the College of Charleston and entry into some of our courses is difficult due to high demand.  It is, therefore, crucial that each student works with his/her advisor to plan their course schedule and to register as soon as permissible.

In the event that a student needs to enroll in a specific course which is closed in order to graduate in the same semester, he/she should contact the Director of Advising in the SBE Student Success Center (Beatty 100).  Students who have completed all prerequisites for the closed course and whose degree audits indicate the need for the course for graduation in the semester in question, will be given first priority for any seats that are available or that may come available as the registration
