Sociology and Anthropology are related social science disciplines looking at human social and cultural behavior, and human biological and cultural diversity. The Department has a diverse faculty offering expertise in most of the major specialties in both fields. Either field can be a major or minor undergraduate concentration at the College. The Department has many ties to institutions in the Charleston area allowing it to offer both internship and fieldwork opportunities in both disciplines.
