All registered students pay a health fee as part of their registration fees. This health fee covers many, but not all, of the services provided at the Student Health Service. The fee does cover unlimited visits with the medical and nursing staff.
Fees Not Covered:- Advanced care requiring referral to hospitals or consultants
- Laboratory tests
- X-rays
- Prescription medications
- Diagnostic tests
- Certain optional immunizations
Students staying in the Charleston area over summer but not taking classes may continue to utilize clinic services by paying a Summer Health Services fee. In order to qualify for this service:
- The student must be registered for the Fall Semester
- Payment must be made prior to receiving services
- Payment must be made at the Treasurer's Office
- Receipts must be presented at the Student Health Service at the initial summer visit
Student Health Services cannot see students after graduation. However, the Student Health Services staff can provide information about medical care in the community for those students who need it.
