College of Charleston Students
Students currently enrolled at CofC as of the Spring semester.
|
Register via Cougar Trail on the Web beginning January 9, 2008. Registration continues until the end of the drop/add period for each MMSS term. Payment is due on or before the due date on the eBill. Remember to drop summer classes you decide not to take before the first day of class to prevent a charge to your account. |
Visiting Undergraduate Students
All students not currently enrolled at CofC and not planning to attend in the Fall.
|
Visiting students are eligible to register for May/Summer courses beginning February 5, 2008. Proceed directly to the Visiting Student Application & Registration forms. Refer to How do I Apply? for more information. |
Incoming College of Charleston Students
All students planning to attend the C of C in the Fall (Incoming freshmen, transfers, readmits, and fall applicants still awaiting an admission decision).
|
Students must submit a visiting student application form and a registration form. Contact the Academic Advising center at 843 953-5981 before filling out these forms. These students may register online, by mail, or in person at the Summer School Office. Payment must accompany the mail-in forms. Those paying online will recieve instructions on how to pay by credit card or e-check. Please see Visiting Student application form and registration form.

Auditing Students
Auditors receive no grade or hours for credit; however, a record of their participation will appear on the college transcript. |
Students who wish to audit classes should register for those classes prior to the first day of class, following the same procedures as if taking the classes for graded credit. They must pick up an audit form from the Registrar's Office, take it to be signed by the course instructor the first day of class, and return it to the Registrar's Office during drop/add for the term of enrollment. Payment is due upon registration. |
Cross-Registration Students (Consortium Students)
|
There is no cross-registration for summer sessions. See "Visiting Students" for additional information.
|
High School Students
Rising juniors and seniors. |
In addition to the Visiting Student Application and Registration forms, high school students must also submit a transcript (unofficial is acceptable), a letter from their principal or guidance counselor stating that the student is in good academic standing and can reasonably be expected to succeed in college-level coursework, and full payment of all tuition and fees. |
New Non-Degree-Seeking Adult Students
Persons 21 years of age and older who hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have not been dismissed from any college or denied admission to the College of Charleston. |
Non-degree-seeking students who plan to continue in the fall should contact Adult Student Services (843-953-5620) for further information and assistance in registering for MM/SS courses. |
Senior Citizens
SC residents who are at least 60 years old. |
Senior citizens must attend walk-in registration in the Summer School Office on the first day of the class. They attend tuition free on a space available basis and pay a nominal $25 registration fee per session. A senior citizen taking classes for the first time must show proof of age (e.g. driver's license or passport) at the time of registration. Audits are handled during registration. |
